Common questions

My friend's code does not work

Codes are five characters and are only valid while the host is waiting on the "Play with a friend" screen. If the host leaves that screen, the code expires. Ask them to create a new one. Codes never contain the letters O, I or L, or the digits 0 and 1 — if you see something that looks like one of those, it is the other character.

Matchmaking fails or the race will not start

KISOU needs an internet connection for online races. If matchmaking keeps failing, check your connection, then close the app fully and reopen it. Races against the opponents in the lobby list work offline.

I bought a skin or a landscape and it did not appear

Open Shop and tap Restore Purchases. Purchases are tied to your Apple Account, so they come back on any device you sign in with — at no extra cost. If it still does not show up, email us with the date of purchase and we will sort it out.

How do I unlock landscapes without paying?

By winning races. Each landscape has a target — 3 wins for Glacier, 5 for Rainforest, and so on up to 95 for Obsidian Aurora. Wins count no matter which landscape or difficulty you raced. Buying one simply skips the wait; nothing is exclusive to money.

Do landscapes or skins make me faster?

No. They are purely visual. The track, the obstacle layout, the speed and the finish distance come from the match itself and are identical for both racers.

My leaderboard scores are missing

Leaderboards and achievements run through Apple's Game Center. Open the Settings app, go to Game Center, and make sure you are signed in. Your personal stats in the Profile screen are stored on the device and work without Game Center.

I want my data deleted

Deleting the app removes everything stored on your device. To also remove the match records tied to your anonymous account on our server, email us — no account details needed, just say so and we will clear them.
